The Wadden Sea -
World Heritage Site
At the end of June 2009, UNESCO placed the Wadden Sea on the World Heritage List. This puts the Wadden Sea on the same footing as other world famous natural wonders on the World Heritage List like the Grand Canyon in the USA and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

* Goose Management Group - February 2010:
    The working group has developed a recommendations and guidance document as a basis
     for a strategic goose management plan, being submitted to the 11th Trilateral Wadden Sea
     Conference (TGC), to be held in Germany in March 2010. The document elaborates the
     requirements and guidelines for an envisaged common management plan at a later stage
     and the need for close cooperation and collaboration with the TWSC.
