WSF Procedures


The Wadden Sea Forum process is guided by plenary meetings, a Steering Committee and a secretariat, in accordance with the WSF Rules of Procedure.

The plenary meeting (WSF) is the decision-making body. The plenary meeting consists out of members representing the sectors agriculture, energy, fisheries, industry, harbours, nature protection, tourism and recreation, as well as local and regional governments from the four Wadden Sea subregions in The Netherlands, Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein and Denmark.

The Steering Committee (SC) is responsible for the preparation of WSF meetings and the coordination of WSF actions and measures.

Both, the WSF and SC meetings are chaired by Mr. Preben Friis-Hauge

The preparation of contents is done in the WSF working groups. All bodies of the WSF are facilitated by the WSF secretariat.
