Collection of general data and information

The website of the Wadden Sea Forum e.V. collects a series of general data and information when a data subject or automated system calls up the website. This general data and information are stored in the server log files. Collected may be (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites, (5) the date and time of access to the Internet site, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

(Opinion of our provider Strato) For data protection reasons, the hostname or the IP address of the client calling our website is anonymized in the log files. The format of all other entries does not change. The first 9 bits of the IP address of the entry are converted to a hash value. An anonymized IP address is valid for a maximum of 24 hours. After that, the same source IP address would become another "anonymous" IP address.

There is no merger of this data with other data sources.

As far as on our sides personal data (for example under the column "members") are published, this takes place, as far as possible, always on voluntary basis and can be revoked at any time. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

SSL-Encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption techniques (such as SSL) over HTTPS.

This rule applies to the websites that record the number of visitors.

Routine erasure and blocking of personal data

The data controller shall process and store the personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is granted by the European legislator or other legislators in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject to.

Data protection provisions about the application and use of Facebook

When you visit our website, there is no direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server, as we have not installed a plugin to Facebook. If you would like to visit us on Facebook, you can do this separately at "https://www.facebook.com/waddensea-forum".

Use of Script Libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to render our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries on this website, such as: Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google web fonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to prevent multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web fonts or prohibits access, content will be displayed in a standard font.
The call of script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the operator of the library. It is theoretically possible - but currently also unclear whether and if so for what purposes - that operators of such libraries collect data.
The privacy policy of the library operator Google can be found here: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Change of our privacy policy
